Christmas 2011 travel blog

We arrived January 1 st in Caye Caulker under partially cloudy skies.

An hour in and we had torrential down pour- it wasn't going to ruin my positive outlook, for the most part it stayed dry but...

With Lunch, a few Cuba libres, and a break in the weather we were on track for a great free afternoon...

We had some free time to explore, dive off the ends of the piers and have some feel good reggae time mahn!

Needless to say, the early start put us all back at the hotel and in bed by 9:30

We all seemed to be awoken at 4 am by what appeared to be a tropical hurricane, but was, we hoped to be, the major storm...live in hope, die in despair

Jan. 2nd

8 of us set of on a day tour in the rain of Hol Chan, and shark stingray alley...with Captain Jacob and Vitorio.

To see so many sharks(nurse sharks) and sting rays was absolutely amazing.

To touch them and stroke them and be a part of mother earth's beautiful creations was something you will never experience again- unless of course you move here. that's a thought...

The rum punch on our voyage home has made the miserable rain disappear from memory, only to be replaced by good times and memories with new friends...

And as we sailed home, Leonardo( di Caprio) and I shared a common bond...I too feel like "I'm king of the world"
