| 2011's EPIC journey began in November 2010 with Gloria's diagnosis of Uterine Cancer. Surgery in December and chemotherapy began in January. With a few bumps (and two broken legs) along the way chemo was completed in August. A PET scan in August shows no visible cancer! Recovery is complicated by peripheral neuropathy in her hands and feet. Additional tests and treatment plus therapy on both legs continues through December and into 2012. There has been no travel except that to and from doctors, clinics and hospitals. The year will come to a close with another CT Scan today and we'll get a status update next week. We're optimistically looking forward to 2012 and an opportunity to load the Rig and hit the highway (maybe in February). |
