I can hardly believe Christmas is only two days away. The weather here in our part of Virginia has been quite mild with highs in the low 60s the past couple of days. We had a lot of rain yesterday afternoon and during the night. But today we awoke to blue skies and sun.
I have really been enjoying some down time this week. Naps every afternoon, etc. And we are checking all the important items off of our to do lists. Yesterday we each had our last and final dr. appointments of the year. The only appointments left will be to get our hair cuts next week just before we leave town.
Chuck and Yanin drove in from New York City last night, and we can’t wait to see them. They weren’t able to come in for Thanksgiving, so it will be great to have all the kids here for Christmas.
We have shopped for and wrapped all the gifts, and now it’s down to getting the house nice and clean and doing some cooking. So that is what is on the to do list today. I need to get my work room organized again after a crazy month. The hard part is deciding what I want to take with me to Florida for the winter.
Two days until Christmas, and five days until we are southern bound!
