The Adairs in Europe travel blog

We returned to Genoa this morning. We arrived a couple hours late due to a storm. The night before was the only time that we had rough seas. When we got to the train station, the workers were on strike. We sat at the station for over 4 hours since we were told that the strike would be over some time that day. We needed to catch a train to Milan and then another to Basel, Switzerland yet that day. The last train that we could take out of Genoa to make the train reservation from Milan to Basel was at 2:19 PM. As of 1:15 PM there still were no trains leaving Genoa. So, I walked up to the hotel to make reservations and when I returned, they had posted the 2:19 train is the first to leave the station. I had to walk back up the hill to cancel the hotel reservation and we made the train! God took care of us! We prayed that God will use us for whatever if we were to spend another night in Genoa. It is so freeing when you give it to God.
