| One of the perks of being in Tampa is that we are in a cruise port city. Looking at cruises this past week and wondering when we would be able to cruise again, we found a really cheap deal that we could not pass up. It is a 4-night cruise to Cozumel but the caveat ..... it's sailing on Thursday!!! What .... we only have 3 days to get all our ducks in a row!! Anyhow we bit the bullet and decided that a cruise would be so welcome, especially now, as I head into the long tax season. So we booked on Royal Caribbean's Jewel of the Seas. We booked an inside cabin as we have done this route many times before. Yesterday the cruise line notified us that they had upgraded us to a Deluxe Oceanview Cabin. Yay!! Talk about an impromtu mini-vacation!! We cruise tomorrow and Tony has decided to work in the morning, come home to shower, dress and we should be at the port by 1:30, in time for lunch :) I'll drop off Gucci and have everything standing ready for him to pack in the car when he gets here. Our neighbors have offered to take care of Gucci for the 4 days and they will also take us to the port and pick us up - so we won't have any parking charges. What a blessing!! We have heard so many great reviews about this ship and can't wait to get onboard. We will post all about the cruise when we get back home on Monday ...... |
