Wow! We have had a whirlwind couple of weeks!!
The first part of our whirlwind was us getting nearly all of our annual health check-ups completed. I received a flu shot and sadly had a really bad reaction to it (which knocked me down for a few days).
Then we heard of a truck and RV in Tempe, AZ, a fellow Escapee RV member is selling. After seeing pictures of it and sending many emails back and forth to the owner, we have decided we should go to Tempe to look at this truck and 5th wheel trailer in person. So, here we are on the road to Tempe!
We drove all day yesterday and today and have made it as far as Deming, NM, tonight. It is cold... supposed to be 24 degrees tonight... so we had to winterize our Clyde to protect his pipes before snuggling in for the evening. We hope to be in warmer Tempe tomorrow.
Today as we drove through the Apache Mountains we found ourselves in some freezing fog! When we got through it our radio antenna looked like a fat icicle and our side mirrors were coated in ice, too. We thawed out as we drove into Van Horn but upon arriving to Deming we found there still to be snow on the ground in spots from last week's winter storm.
When in Deming we always stay at the Escapees Dream Catcher RV Park because they have a great dog park for Blayde to play in. Blayde wanted to go to the dog park as soon as we got here (I'm sure he remembered being here from before) so off we went. He was so funny as he pranced across the snow spots and he seemed to be so bewildered about that white cold stuff on the ground. His little feet got so cold he seemed relieved to be picked up and cuddled and put back in our warm little RV.
So... a new RV? Maybe... I'll keep you posted as this week progresses!
Happy Travels,
Rebecca
