On I-10, driving past the downtown area on the freeway, the River...

El Paso here we come, well in a day or so, lol!

It feels weird to have that lane of traffic hanging out over...

Especially when you see this!!!

A bit further down the road, nice drive today...

Love the cross...

As the day progressed the sky came alive...

Isn't it pretty?

Oh my...

We pulled over to watch it in all it's magnificance, thank you...

Next morning we were on the road again, another pretty day...

Thought this Rest Stop had neat picnic tables...

Love the peppers...

This is nice too...

And, of course I can't forget to post the 'famous' roadrunner!

Our drive from San Antonio to Ft Stockton was interesting. Just before we got out of town we drove beneath an overpass where an 18 wheeler was flipped over on it's side, cab & all. We don't know what caused it or if the driver was seriously injured, we pray not. Ft Stockton is about half way across the BIG state of Texas and was a good stopping spot for the evening. It was about 7pm before we arrived so we joined numerous other RV'ers in the Wal-Mart parking lot for the evening. It was very quiet and worked out well.

The next morning we got an early start, which was good, as we made it through El Paso early afternoon and beat the 'after work' crowd on the freeway. I don't exactly know why, but El Paso is not one of our favorite cities, at least as far as driving goes. We didn't stop as we were anxious to get into New Mexico and settled at the Lo-Hi before it got too late. High winds were predicted but didn't materialize thank goodness. You know the rest of our time there, we crossed into Palomas, Mexico yesterday and pulled out this morning. We are now in Casa Grande, Arizona for two nights. Will post on that tomorrow. Night...
