Ok, so this doesn't have anything to do with heart, but it has everything to do with Seoul, and I thought the title was funny! So, obviously, I finally made it to Seoul! First of all, Singapore Airlines is great, and if you have a chance, fly with them. I thought I would have a hard time keeping myself entertained for 12 hours, but they had individual screens at every seat and I think 90 channels of music, movies, TV, and other stuff. So it was great, and I only ended up sleeping for about an hour. Also, this is a little side note, but... I had a new nephew born on Wed morning at 1am! He is just over 10 lbs, and very cute! Last time I heard, his name was ________ Charles Willis. So I'm waiting to hear what they pick for the first name!
Ok, so back to Seoul, once I got to the airport it took a little while to get through customs, but not a big deal. The people in the airport were very friendly, and helped me to locate where Beeb's (my teacher's) plane got in. So, I met up with Beeb, and we decided to meet at his hotel at 10 the next morning for sightseeing. Then I got to fight with a couple of ATMs, (I just needed to get smaller amounts at a time), and then I got on a bus to go to Seoul Guest House. The bus ride was nice, I met a Brit and a Hungarian who teach English in China. They were really nice, and it made the trip go faster. By the time I got to my stop it was about 10pm Seoul time, 2am Cali time, so I was really exhausted, and I just wanted to go to bed. That's when I took a right when I should taken a left. Ugg! It didn't take too long to figure it out, but it took a long time for me to haul myself back to where I needed to be. I'm so glad Dad got me the suitcase with wheels! Anyway, I finally made it to Seoul Guest house, with the help of a very generous woman named Ami. Thank you Ami!! I don't know if I would have found it without her. It was down a little tiny allyway, off a little tiny unmarked street, and my map had no details on it. So, I'm here at the Guest house, and its cute, but it's no Motel 6. And that's when I realized I hadn't brought a clock, and there wasn't one in the room. Doh! So figured I would rely on the powers of the sun to wake me up. Unfortunately, it's been pouring since about 1 or 2am. Fortunately, it was so loud, I was up at 4. :) So to make a long story even longer, I haven't seen much of Seoul yet, but the people have all been friendly, from I can see, it seems quiet lovely.
