Monday Ted and Sue picked us up by 8:45am for a great trip to re-visit Johnson City and LBJ's boyhood home and then on to the LBJ ranch. We were here seven years ago, but were unable to tour the house because Lady Bird was still alive. We really enjoyed the ranch then and we did again this time. I would reccomend it, no matter what your politics are. It was a fine day and after taking advantage of a great German restaurant in New Branfuels it was time to kick up our feet at home and rest up for bed.
Tuesday was another early start with Ted and Sue at the oldest bakery in Texas located in downtown New Braunfels where we met son Patrick and his friend Jenny and her son Christopher. After sinning at the bakery Patrick, Jenny, and Chris were off to the Natural Bridge Wild Life Farm and Ted, Sue, Pat, and I went to the San Jose Mission and then River Walk where we were joined by Patrick, Jenny, and Christopher. We all did the river boat tour, had lots to eat, and squeezed in a happy hour before parting ways and heading home to call it a day. Poor Ted was once again stuck with the driving and did a fine job dealing with the rush hour traffic.
