CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR VERY OWN SPECIAL FRIEND, SCOTT LIDDYCOAT!!!! Let's back into this story beginning with year 2000. We first met Scott during the Inboard Hydroplane racing season of 2000. His magnetic personality and even demeanor immediately draws one to him. Scott is full of life; everything he touches turns to gold. Before long we developed a relationship with he and Kim, better known now as their "Southern parents". Proudly, many special moments have been shared with them; wedding, birth of their 3 year old son, Grant, MANY looong trips after work to a boat race. Thank you for allowing us to extend our own family by three
Scott is a master craftsman wood worker, even building boats in our outback garage! Corky, along with others, encouraged him to ask Kim out. Speak of a match made in heaven. Because she chooses to, Kim wears many hats including marketing, logistics, boat duty, in addition to work, parent, housekeeper!!
Scott was born and raised in Burlington, Ontario. Being a third generation racer has played a huge part in his love of the sport. Last year he was invited to drive for an established UIM Hydroplane team- the ultimate racers' dream!! Announcers began referring to him as the "sensational rookie", "incredible driver", "able to race competitively along side the more experienced drivers", "unbelievable driving skills", etc. Corky was able to attend many of this past summer's races. He would call ecstaticly with how well Scott was adapting to driving speeds up to 200 mph. Scott participates in every element of boat preparation and clean up to the amazement of the crew.
Leaving from Dulles, the Sheik of Qatar, flew the USA UIM racers to Doha for the World Cup Championship. After four competitive heats, Scott drew lane 1 for the final. Precision Performance,LLC supports three boats: U-5 driven by Jeff Bernard, U-7 driven by Scott, U-57 driven by Mark Evans(Jimmy Shane for the Qatar). Yeah team ! All three team drivers took home awards for 1st, 2nd, & 4th places!! For more specific info and pictures go to Air National Guard H1 Unlimited Racing.
