5th Straight & On To San AntonioNov 21, 2011

| Well we did it. Friday afternoon we won at the duplicate bridge game for the 5th straight time. Our luck will have to end one of these days. Bob and Vida were close behind on our heels for 2nd place. After the game it was time for pizza and a relaxing evening in our peaceful, unhurried, non-congested, bit of paradise. Saturday we took the golf cart to the post office and then to Burger & Shake for lunch. Next we were off exploring and visiting around the Fort spending some time with Jerry and Kit at their wonderful new site in unit 38 and hearing about their exciting building plans. Then it was 5:30 Church after happy hour at Dee and Eck's. That was followed by a stop at Subway for supper and topping off the fuel tank for Sunday's pull to San Antonio. Sunday we were hooked up and on the road by 9:30am, arriving at the resort in New Braunfels at 12:30 after an easy uneventful 155 mile trip. It sure was wonderful seeing Ted and Sue stepping out of the office to greet us. After setting up and catching up on the past few months we drove to Gruene, a unique little town with cold beer, great free live music, and great food. It wasn't long after returning to the resort and we were ready for bed. Dan |
