I'm now in Kansas. I did enjoy my night in the motel once I got settled in and the shower was GREAT!! Ate breakfast at the motel, packed up, ran the car through its paces [there is a strict procedure to go through before towing the car], packed up the MH then left Cameron, MO.
While there was no snow in the forecast, it snowed fairly heavily for a bit around Emporia, KS. I thought maybe I was going to have to stop as the ground was getting covered too but then it tapered off. So I continued on to my first campground, an RV Park. There is a difference between a campground like Mirror Lake or other state parks and RV Parks. This one is simply gravel but has pull through sites which I need in order not to have to unhook the car. I definitely don't want to do that unless I'm staying awhile.
Word to the wise for those traveling in Kansas. The toll roads are exceptionally expensive. And I'm back on them tomorrow :-(. At least you get a ticket and pay when you get off so there is no stopping like the toll roads to Illinois.
Mollie is traveling quietly but the poor thing is still very scared. Abby is doing well with only a few vocal moments on the trip today. I'm just tired so I'll end for now.
Tomorrow off to Oklahoma City area, hopefully to stop at a state park or something more scenic.
