Diane's Travels and Adventures 2011/2012 travel blog

Last night wasn't as bad as I expected but the MH was aglow with light from the outside lamp. The trucks next to me were quiet; the freeway provided a loud background but I slept anyway. It got down to 44 last night and I added a quilt to stay warm. The cats slept with me, probably to stay warm. The furnace in the MH heated the unit up to 63 in 15 minutes so that's not bad.

I'm in a motel tonight in Cameron, MO, just north of Kansas City, MO. I'd rather stay in the MH but I needed a shower [expensive shower!] and also wanted to charge up my computer and hopefully get a good night's sleep with less commotion. The cats are braving the low night temps alone, though I'd rather be out there than in here really.

An easier driving day today as the winds were much less and sometimes non-existent so that was much less stressful. I had a small problem with the electrical system; called my brother, Bruce, and he problem-solved through different things until he stumbled on something that worked. Thanks, brother.

My sister is feeding me weather reports so thanks Sue!!

Well off to watch a TV show. Then to bed.

Good night from Cameron, MO.
