Our guide

A herd of Longhorn Sheep in the distance

Last one!

Today was one of those "Wowser" days we won't forget. We took the Pikes Peak Cog Railway to the top of Pikes Peak at over 14,000 feet. The track of the Pikes Peak Cog Railway is 8.9 miles long. The round trip lasts 3 hours and 10 minutes.

When we got to the top and got off the train it was so cold we could hardly breath. The guide said it was 16 degrees with a wind chill factor making it minus 6. Yikes!

We went inside and had burgers and fries and took some pictures from the windows. Jerry was brave enough to go to the outside platform and take a few shots, but he soon returned. He said he could not remember ever being so cold.

We saw a herd of Bighorn Sheep on the top. The cost was $34 each. We hope to drive back up in our car next time.

We have had a wonderful time with Betty. She will be flying back to Vegas in the morning. We are going to miss her much. We are hoping to have her back again soon.

I will let the pictures tell the rest of the story.
