I have volunteered to participate in a study conducted by the Psychology Department at the University of Texas. The title of the research study is "Age, Depression, and Genetic Differences in Learning and Decision Making." The purpose of the study is to investigate the behavioral responses to various learning and decision-making tasks. They will pay $10 per hour for the time spent at the lab and also pay for parking. There are 760 people being recruited to participate in the study. This morning I had my first series of tests and will return next Thursday for the rest of them.
Tonight Mikail Davenport took Val White, Nancy Riley, James Smith and me to dinner at Corazon at Castle Hill in downtown Austin on West 5th Street. The cuisine is a blend of interior Mexican and Southwestern cuisine. Not only was the food delicious but it was beautifully presented. I couldn't resist taking a photo of my chili relleno plate. The decor includes several pieces of Dia de Muertos art from Mexico. We had a very pleasant evening. (www.corazonatcastlehill.com)
