Today was mostly a "day at the beach". Talia and Grandma hit the waves and just bobbed around for quite awhile. Just beyond them there is a group of regulars who either rent or own many of the condo units here on a regular basis. Each day they gather their pool "noodles" and head out foe a noodling session of about an hour where they seem to chat and basically stay in the same place. Sometimes there is as many as 30 of them so thought it warranted a picture.
Janine had rented a tent for Jack and a beach umbrella when she rented the toys, etc. so it cam in handy as the sun was a scorcher even by mid-morning. Jack played in the sand but it was hard work so he needed a nap!
I looked around and saw 2 fellows climbing the coconut palms in the front yard of a house next door to the condo. They were trimming bundles of coconuts and palm fronds so they didn't fall on anyone. Instead of spiked shoes, they had these steel rings around the tree that they stepped on and moved up as they climbed. Quite interesting.
After lunch we headed back to Lahaina to do some shopping and later went to Cheese Burgers in Paradise for supper before heading home. Everyone was down for the3 count about 9pm.
