It is official...the doctor said we are doing great! Today we saw our internist, the doctor who takes care of everything that isn't covered by a specialist. Both Glen and I are doing well. That is always good news and something we don't take for granted.

We are concerned for a favorite aunt this week. She is awaiting the results of a liver biopsy. Glen's sister was telling about "subbing" in a kindergarten handicapped class today. There was a boy there who had the same type of surgery that our son and grandson had. This boy evidently had a late diagnosis as he has developmental problems. We count our blessings and try not to assume..take for granted...that good health will always be the report.

A note...the computer was "down" at the clinic today. The front desk was doing everything the old-fashioned way--by hand. There were no lists of daily appointments, no future appointments could be made. The help were rather in a tizz!

Lunch was at a local Mexican restaurant with long time friends. It is always good to catch up with happenings and exchange family news.

We did go by the local Veteran's Hospital to see about the procedure for Glen getting pharmacy items from the VA. Up to date information was gathered by the business office, was put "in" the system, and can now implement further steps if he ever chooses to go that route. It means having to see a VA doctor to get prescriptions, and because of us still traveling, it is something Glen chooses not to do.

It is getting closer to Thanksgiving. I spent some time looking at recipes, trying to choose what to prepare!
