| Spent last night in a log cabin in Hokitika. It was extremely windy and cold! Lots of rain as well. Therefore did not swim in the sea! Drove from there to Franz Josef and then on to Fox Glacier. A walk to and around the lake (matheson) and up to see the Glacier. See photos. Then found our accommodation - a lovely motel very close to Glacier Hot Pools which we then took advantage of. Cooked for ourselves and then, after telling you all about it, off to bed. Long drive tomorrow - down south - hope weather will be kind to us. Haven't had to use the snow chains provided in our hire car just yet! Love to all |
