Today, along with our friends, Christopher & Charlene Williams, Judy and I attended the Florida Seafood Festival at Apalachicola. Apalachicola is one of the oldest river ports in the South. It is a town of 2,500 with a beautiful historic district. The festival itself is similar to any typical small town festival with a carnival midway, food and novelty vendors. Of course, the seafood selection is unique to the area. Tomorrow is the main event, with oyster shucking and oyster eating competitions.
