The weather forecast for today is for a front to blow in, the temperatures to drop, and for a possibility of rain. I stuffed by backpack with a sweatshirt and a rain poncho, just in case. I arrived at Camp in time for breakfast. Then, I went down to the fishing area; all of the stuff was just as I had left it. Today I will need to put it away to avoid the possible rain storms. I only have three groups today, which will give me some time off to pack up the equipment and get to the Outdoor Strings Concert in plenty of time.
Just as we were about to clean up to get everyone to the Strings Concert, one child finally caught a fish – caught it by the gill, but caught a fish nonetheless. The chaperones were all cheering and we all felt especially proud because this is a child that struggles with daily requirements and for her to catch a fish meant more than almost anyone else. As one parent and I were talking – that was truly a “God thing” – simply hooked as the line was being pulled in.
