We're still in Boise enjoying the nice Fall weather and spending time with Kristine. Haven't done all that much, but time is sure moving by fast anyway. We have entertained a couple of times here at the rig and been entertained. Ed and Kristine have done some more river fishing and Ed got to attend a Boise State football game. He's also got to play a fair amount of golf.
The glass repair man showed up the other day and informed us that the "chip" was more like a "crush" and the windshiled was too badly damaged to repair it - it has to be replaced. Just what we wanted to hear as we have a $500 deductible. And we had to have all four brakes replaced on the Saturn and the transmission flushed. As soon as we find that money tree, I'm doing me some picking!
Kristine still hasn't found a full time job but is doing some catering at Boise State Univ. It's hard work for not much money, but at least it's something. We've been feeding her while we are here, but she needs to find something fast. We are loving Boise. What a nice town. Besides everyone being very active and outdoorsy, our experience is that everyone is also very friendly. There is always something fun going on here. Tomorrow night we are heading downtown to watch a flashmob re-enact Michael Jackson's Thriller on the steps of City Hall. Tonight we went to the local Elks Club and had a couple of drinks and all you could eat spaghetti dinner, which was delicious.
We only have about 10 days left before it is time to move on and we still haven't figured out exactly where we are headed next. Hopefully, we will figure it out before we head for the highway, but that is the beauty of what we are doing. No schedules and no commitments. Just a warning to our other daughter that we are headed her way!
