Indiana color along I-70 W

nice color

This has been an interesting day. Got up this morning and started packing up. Bob drove the rental back to Sturgis and Phyl followed about 10 minutes later. She drove up to Enterprise and expected Bob to be outside ready to go, WRONG! There was only one person working the desk and he was frantically attempting to help another. Finally it was the Avellas turn and it took almost 30 minutes to get checked out (remember the accident?) because it seems that this was the first accident report the Enterprise person had to fill out (weren't we lucky?). Good news, when Bob filled up the rental he paid (are you sitting down?) $2.94/gal (at WM, with their card). Since "G/G" did not need a fill-up, plus the WM pumps were difficult to get into, the Avellas continued on down the road with Phyl driving and fighting the wind gusts (kind of like in AZ earlier this year). Problem #2: yesterday prior to take Robin & Heather back to the airport, Bev wanted to down-load the movies from Phyl's FLIP to Bev's computer. Unfortunately, when they down-loaded, they were removed from Phyl's FLIP. (The movies were the main reason for Bob & Phyl to stop in KY to show the grandparents the wedding.) Bev had made a DVD, but it did not work in the DVD player. So today the Avellas stopped in Kokomo, IN, to see if the movies could be put back onto the FLIP. It worked, sort of. Then back on the road. Once Indianapolis was in the rear view, it was 43 miles of road work, rough road, one lane roads, etc, by this time Bob was driving and he does not do well with weather, bad roads and traffic. Finally arrived at the KOA campground in Terre Haute and just as we pulled in, it began to rain! GOD is so good to have waited until the Avellas were ready to stop for the night. The other good news of the day; Bob's satellite works, but then he fell asleep watching NCIS!! Tomorrow, the trip continues into Benton, KY, for a visit with the Joneses.
