Great Adventure #2 - DC or Bust! travel blog

Today started out dreary and overcast, and we are preparing for the arrival of Donna and Steve. It will be fun exploring Georgia with the two of them, and showing them the beautiful fall colors (if the sun ever comes out!). Cindy and I are still nesting, and getting our coaches in order, putting things in their proper places and trying to find places for all those things we didn't know we had. I am trying to make room for two more people, without making it seem like it is a crunch. We have alot of room, but as with any small area, once you put something somewhere, if it is out of place, it seems like clutter. Add two more people and their "Stuff" and you feel overwhelmed with clutter. Luckily with the garage, they have their own space, and as long as I don't have too much of my "stuff" there, they are pretty organized back there.

Since we left the trailer with the service people expecting to continue our trip up north, we have alot of extra information and stuff for Virginia, Tennessee and Maryland. I could have left about 200 pounds of belongings at home, never mind about 2 bins worth of shorts and short sleeve shirts behind, had we had the trailer at home, I would have cleaned house and repacked for the Georgia ONLY trip.

OH WELL, enough about being over-cluttered. It is overcast and raining on and off all day. Hopefully Donna and Steve have a bit of sunshine on the way up, and get to enjoy some of the mountains fall colors. They left a little after 2:00 yesterday, and made it as far as we did the first day, and a little further. They should be in around 3:00 today. Cindy and I were going to go to the Flea Market, but opted to hang around the house instead. The boys went for a short bike ride - as the weather broke enough to give us some sunshine and warmth.

Enough for now. Barb and Howard
