The weather was overcast and cool this morning. We expected rain to find us all day, but it held off until we were at the campground and set up.
The best leaf color we have seen on this whole trip has been along I77 to I81 through West Virginia and into Virginia. The leaves are gorgeous even without the sun shining on them.
We went through Charleston, West Virginia, which is the capitol.
We had to go through a tunnel to go from West Virginia to Virginia. And, not long after that we found a second tunnel. We followed a horse trailer through which had a big brown horse and a little white horse in it. The horses looked like they were discussing something very serious.
The KOA campground here in Wytheville is big and nice. There weren't many campers here when we arrived about 4 o'clock. But the rigs started pulling in about 6 o'clock, and now we have lots of company.
The rain is light, but steady. We have the awning out so we can walk the pups under it.
Tomorrow we will be home in the afternoon.
