We moved west across Oklahoma from Cookson to Oklahoma City today and are settled into our new home for the next month. The drive was uneventful and at one point we agreed that this stretch of IH-40 West is about as boring as IH-10 West………..only difference is that IH-40 has more exits with “a few signs of life” than IH-10!!
Our new home had great reviews on “RV Park Reviews” but as we found out once we arrived, since we are staying a month……they will not allow you to stay in any of the long, level concrete sites as these are reserved for daily and weekly stays; more money charged and made that way!!!! The monthly sites are all on the perimeter of the park and have gravel surfaces. Our site does back up to the Interstate and we have been told to check the board each day for openings among the earmarked monthly sites and if we find one we like better, we are welcome to move……….so we will keep an eye on that!
As I have reported, we really pushed ourselves on the GRR trip and since have wanted to slow things down and see the sights in an area at a slower pace. So this is our plan during this month in the capital city of Oklahoma. We have lots of places on our “to see” list and will make posts when we check them out and let you know what we find and think!
