First day of schoolOct 10, 2011

| Hello folks I survived my first day of school without too much drama which is good. Children are so cute, not quite sure what they thought of the big white Scottish bird with the red face standing at assembly but hey they coped quite well. Some were a but wary, other curious (they want to touch you but are scared, that was in the morning they soon got over that) and then you always get the handful of cheeky ones. My day has been fine just trying to settle in, started off with assembly this morning then off to classes, break time and they split up and some go outside and others stay in the hall to play, back to classes then lunch is served at the school for the children and then they come in and have a wee sleep aaawww. I also had my lunch today sitting on the floor eating my rice with another teacher and the cook/helper was quite good actually. The afternoon was some more classes then finish the day with a prayer and they all go home with various modes of transport. I will take my camera and try to get some photos did not want to do that on my first day, they would have been freaked out enough without my snapping away at every opportunity. Had a walk to the shops after the school to get some supplies. Not much to report over the weekend was pretty quiet and yes I am still roasting and sweating xxxxxxxxxxxxxx |
