From Fredericksburg, VA ...

Another incredible day has just about wrapped up the Downey Clan Reunion. I think everyone thoroughly enjoyed being together.
This morning we all caravanned to Richardsville, Va, to visit the family cemetery and sight of the former family farm. What a beautiful area this was. We visited the graves of Charlie's great grandparents and great-great grandparents.
On the way back to Fredericksburg, 12 of us stopped off for some lunch at the Green Turtle Restaurant. This is affiliated with the Green Turtle where we have eaten in Fells Point, MD, and we all really enjoyed it.
Tonight there was another reunion party to celebrate Aunt Rita's 85th birthday at the Quaker Steak and Lube. They set up a buffet for us in a private room, and the bbq chicken, ribs, wings, and sides were really, really good! The evening was so beautiful, and an almost full moon rose in the sky, as we wrapped up the evening on the outside patio. It was so much fun.
Tomorrow everyone is headed back home. Along with Pam, Richard, and Missy, we are planning to visit Mathews, Va, on the way home. This is where Charlie's grandparents lived on the Chesapeake Bay. It should be a lot of fun to be there again as well.
I have lots more photos from today's events, and I will get them uploaded when I can. However, I know we are going to be really busy as soon as we return home tomorrow night. A week from tomorrow, we will be taking Ali's Cat on the road for four weeks, and we can't wait. But we have LOTS and LOTS to get done before that happens.
