Yay!!! Back to Thailand! We love the food so much in Thailand, we are very happy getting back. We caught our flight nice and easy. We had the most sickly chocolate frappacino creamy drink before though, and felt a little queasy for a while!
We had booked a hotel in Phuket a couple of roads back from the beach, and by the time we got the taxi there it was around 10pm. We didn't head far that evening, and just got snacks from muchly missed 7/11 and slept very soundly in our comfy lovely room.
We spent around 10 days in Phuket all together. It was a nice relaxing beachy time. Chris got a little unwell for a couple of days so it was lucky we had a nice room with a DVD player and air con. So alot of sun bathing was had, and a couple of evenings out in Phukets walking Street. There is still evedence of the Tsunami, but only in the way of signs showing it's route, and a boat in a roundabout that was washed in. It's all pretty much repaired or rebuilt. Like Pattaya at the begnining of our trip, Phuket is very different to the rest of Thailand, and Asia really. Because it is such a tourist destination it has malls and bars, a Hard Rock Cafe with giant guitar outside. There was a lovely Irish bar we treated ourselves to an afternoon in, and a cinema in the Mall where we watched Planet of The Apes, go Caeser!
We were a bit quiet in Phuket, saving the last of our money for our last few days in Koh Phan Ngan!
