well we have made it to our final destination of our trip, Santorini Greece, again no words to describe how beautiful, it was a long journey but so worth it. Our first full day yesterday was wonderful, weather was nice, very windy but sunny. It is very bright here with the sun reflecting on all the white buildings, definitely want sun glasses here. Lots of very cool cave homes. We shopped and strolled in the morning, relaxed by the pool in the afternoon, had dinner out Out of the tourist district last evening and went to a fabulous local restaurant, such a great atmosphere, and the food was amazing. The menu had an option to ask the chef for the local specialty of which I ordered lamb, it was the best meal I have had on this trip,'we had a great appetizer of pork in wine sauce with rosemary, it was so good. Darren had chicken souvlaki which was also good. Our waiter was very kind and gave us a desert on the house that was also unique to Greece' cannot remember the name but very yummy.
we had rain last night with huge winds, there is a bit of rain in the next few days' but from what we are told, it rains for a while and then the au comes out again so no worries.
we met a couple at the airport coming in they were supposed to co e I a few days ago but their airline carrier was on strike for a few days, I guess that is common too, I hope we do not experience that when we need to come home, we will hope for the best.
I hope everyone has a wonderful thanksgiving, and I wish my beautiful sister a very Happy Birthday, love you.
see you all soon.
p.s. I have taken 1600 pics to date, and I imagine that number will climb in the next few days' I can't help it, everything I look somewhere its the most beautiful thing I have seen.
lots of love
Darren and Lori
