| After a lazy dayby the pool we headed out do a bit of sightseeing. We first went to visit a waterfall and river that locals go to swim in on the way to boquette, we got there at 10:30am and had a little sunbathe however couldn't get right in to it as there was 22 (all local) young guys, in the water or hangin around by the water. We have had quite a bit of shouting and horn beeping at us so they thought of stripping down to our bikinis and going into the water was not appealing lol. We therefore jumped on a chicken bus and headed to the little town of Boquete apparently the house prices have rocketed here as modern maturity lol yes that's the name magazine ranked it as one of the top four places to retire and there was loadsa of little retirement villages on the way into town, the town is right in the mountains and when in the town square you can see the clouds rolling over them... More ear popping on the way up. When we got there, low and behold it started to piss down so we couldn't visit the gardens that had been recommended instead we did what we do best and ate food and drank superb coffee, we then had a little wander round the town, which was very nice and would be ideal if you wanted to get away from it all for a few days. Since it was heavy raining we decided to jump back on the bus and head back to the hostel, where we found out that it had been roasting the whole day there and they had no rain!!! |
