| Hi all, We´ll keep this one short and let the photos speak for themselves!!! Today was our last day in La Fortuna, so we hit two birds with one stone by whitewater rafting part of the way to San Jose :) 3 hours of Class 111 & IV rapids on the Rio Toro...epic!!!! It was so much fun, and only one raft flipped over (NOT OURS! Though we got to rescue a German who fell out of one of the other boats). There were 18 of us all together, including guides, between 4 rafts, and 2 kayaks for photos and rescue. By the end we were soaking wet, somewhat bruised, and adrenaline-pumped, and promptly napped in the van all the way to San Jose! We really loved Monteverde & La Fortuna, and would happily stay here for ever except for how expensive everything is! Hope you enjoy the photos! Love, Meg & Thom |
