Ronda is one of those picturesk (sp?) whitewashed towns that is on all the travel ads for Spain. It is located on a very high plateau above a river that curves around it. Because of this the Romans located there fortress here. There are still two Roman bridges that are in use. We had a great time discovering all sorts of wonderful back streets. We had quite a time getting through an area where the children were being picked up from school for their siesta. What a life!
We went to the bullring where we got a detailed explanation of a bullfight. Eduardo has a tremendous sense of humor and also uses body language in a very exaggerated way. We were in hysterics as he demonstrated the movements of the matador. There were other English speaking people in the ring who couldn't quite get over his explanation. He wasn't going to say it but it was obvious that he didn't approve of this "art".
This is another city that we could have spent more time in.
From there we came on to Sevilla which we will explore tomorrow.
