| Visit to Xstrata Copper's Lomas Bayas mine located to the east of the city of Antofagasta. The mine is big to Canadian standards. Got to see a blast. Drive to the mine brought us over the coastal range and through the central plateau. Very sunny and dry, very much a desert atmosphere. Nothing grows here. Not even a cactus. |
