Getting closer

and there's the entrance to the Camp

And now here's the RV Park

Site #9 where we'll be the next two weeks.

From the other side - ver nice, level, pull-through sites.

And looking down our row!

Just chillin' on Mom's legs!

Brrrrr, it was really chilly this morning and definitely glad it wasn't ME going outside and hook up the car in the 33* temps in South Haven. We did manage to get underway shortly after 9:30 heading immediately south along US Hwy 31.

And talk about construction! OMG, seems like we would drive 30 miles and hit another patch of single lanes and detours. The worst occured when we reached Indianapolis and the I-465 was having bridge, lane and bypass construction done on it and NOT very good markings to show the way to reach the route heading East. This necessitated something one never likes to do in these things - get off the road and turn around at the next exit. But that certainly beat driving into downtown Indy!

We could definitely see why the city is called the "Crossroads of America". In addition to the interstate by-pass we were on, there were four other major interstates dissecting the city! AND, more construction along the way again too! Fortunately, Jerry's an excellent driver and is so patient and calm; I would have been white knuckled for sure!

We arrived at Camp Atterbury right at 2:30, met right at the door by Nancy, the host of the park, and she's one squared away individual. Gave us our site, a wonderful level pull-through and then we settled up. Gave us the information about the post and where things were and we decided after hearing the bridge is closed in Louisville on I-65, that it would be nice to stay here an additional five more nights, so we are now leaving here on 17 Oct versus the originally planned 12 October. Will give us more time to see and explore the area and to pay a visit to a friend who lives nearby - and more on that as the week progresses. We are just glad to be here!

Till the next time . . .
