Bionic Babe - Adventures in Europe- 2011 travel blog

We arrived in the town of Arona about 4pm. The hotel was the Atlantic and it was right on the Lake. It was also right next to the town center. Finally!!!! This is what the tour had actually advertised. The hotel had free internet and even though the room I was given had a crappy view of apartment complexes – this place was perfect. I checked in, ditched the group and went exploring. The town was incredible!!! It was a great mix of high end and regular people shops. I went all over the place. I ran into a few others from the group every once & a while and then moved on to the next area to explore.

My greatest discovery… The Fusion – a Japanese/Chinese/Italian restaurant. I was in Heaven!!!!! I ordered my first real meal in almost a week. The Asian guys couldn’t speak English & my Italian was mediocre- but I was able to get a great Chicken & Bean Sprouts to go order for 6 euros. I also stopped by the Turkish Kebab place and picked up a Marinara pizza for 3 euros. I was starving & I knew the pizza leftovers could be stored in my mini-fridge for tomorrow’s breakfast/lunch.

I took lots of pics & explored the town again after dark.
