| Costa rica - san ramon and San luis canopy tour!!!! We arrived in San Ramon coda rica and annie ( friend of a friend) picked us up...however before that we had to wait for her to come...we saw the golden arches immediately after getting of the bus!!..couldn't believe how excited i was for a 1/4 pounder with cheese meal ha ha, I know it's only been 2 and a half weeks but all the places we have been so far have only had little shops and most of The cafes/restaurants sell burritos/ tacos/ fried chicken and there is Only so much of it you can eat and we all know I love my grub!!! We marched across the road and realised it was a shopping mall, again I was excited which is sad as I hate shopping. After an exellant 1/4 with cheese I went and bought more pants ( yes I know I should have took more but was trying to pack light) Annie picked us up and we went to her b and b , we were her first ever customers, the house was amazing with great views from the balconey, our bed was brand new and so comfy. We spent that night watching DVDs and just lasting about after an amzing breakast by our host on the balconey over looking yet more lovely scenery On day 2 we managed to get a bus and even managed in spanish to ask the driver if he could tell us where to get off as we missed a stop last week and just by luck got a taxi to take us back the way. We made it to San luis canopy tours, we booked on to tour and got out harness/ helmets and gloves by this time I was cackin it!!!...I'm just now into all this throwing yourself off shit but gave myself a talkig to and went ahead (heart beating 300 mile an hour) The guys taking the tour were excellent and explained what we had to do... All in we did 10 slides I think....half way through we got do the tarzan swing, basicaly you got tied to a big of mental and the guys lifted you up and you swung out into the forest. I did it but the whole time i was telling myself..its just like down the burn when you were a kid...its nothing lol..but when i came off my legs were saking like mad. We also did the superman slide, were they put you in a very flattering bright orange full body harness and you slid superman style right over the valley, again i was brickin it but the views were ou of this world, you could see the river below and the mountains at either side of you..kinda took the nerves away a wee bit!!!..that was us done after the suprman and i went straight to my bag for a smoke and a sit down to calm the old nerves!!!! had another quiet night in San Ramon before heading to Panama the next day!!! |
