Because of a transit strike in Athens, we changed our itinerary a bit and visited the Archeological museum yesterday so we could leave Athens early this morning. Traffic out of the city was at a crawl and the city just seems to go on and on, miles upon miles of suburbs.

Since we left Athens earlier than expected, David decided to make a slight detour and stop at the monastery of Osios Loukas, an old Greek orthodox monastery up in the hills. It was a beautiful, quiet spot and the tour members loved it. Afterwards, we proceeded on to the ancient site of Delphi, famous site for the oracle of Delphi. I was a bit disappointed in the site, as there really isn't a lot there, but the view is fantastic. You can see all the way to the gulf of Corinth. We stayed just one night in the town of Delphi before heading south to the Pelopenese.
