First bus journey:)

After 2 days in antigia i got the 5am bus to copan honduras, i was a bit anxious about the journey as i didn't  no what to expect, i had booked a private bus as i was alone. it was a little bus only room for 8 and it was full, no air con but managed to get a kip, wee daisy was there my trusty cow shaped cushion so she kept me comfortable although I think it was the heat that knocked me out!!!

Arriving in copan Honduras what I noticed first of all was the difference to Antigua. It's a small town on a very steep hill, and it was much more humid. There was also lots of stray dogs!!!...aaaahh. I lugged my bag up to the our hostel and checked in.

Spent the day sitting on the porch talking to Michael from London drinking beer (£1), waiting on Alice arriving. It was teaming down with rain but I wasnt fussed it was nice to chill on the porch, Alice arrived and we had a beer or 5 to celebrate

During our time in copan we tired all different varietys of street food which was amazing and my belly was ok afterwards thank god!!..we had corn on the cob with butter, lime and salt and tacos, although to this day im still not sure what the meat was lol!!!..and as we were eating outside we had loads of little skinny dogs coming over to us!!

We also spent time exploring the ruins in copan which is apparently labelled the Paris of the Maya world. The ruins were pretty amazing and you could imagine people all those years living there. They are also massive and we spent a good part of the day just checking them out

We spent 2 nights here, before we began our travels again to utilia bay islands!!
