Entering Nebraska....for the first time

Great Platte River Road Monument along I-80 in Nebraska

Our map is complete....49 of the 50 states...when will the bridge to...

After leaving NH on Sept. 24th...we drove 10 hours and 515 miles stopping for the night along Lake Erie in Westfield, NY. The following day was another long one...10.5 hours, 537 miles stopping for the night in Utica, IL. Day 3 was a 7 hour 340 mile drive ending at the Winnebago Factory in Forest City, Iowa.

We had some paint work done on the coach due to the clear coat peeling above the windshield. To our surprise, Winnebago repaired the problem free of charge. All we had to do is bring them the coach. While waiting for the coach to be finished we took a tour of the factory. It was a very interesting 2 hour tour. We saw several different areas of the building process of Winnebago motorhomes.

We left the Winnebago Factory this morning (9/28) and are currently in North Platte, Nebraska, another 10 hour day and 548 miles. This is our first visit to the State of Nebraska and as a result we have now been to 49 of the 50 States in a motorhome. We will be leaving here in the morning headed towards Denver, Colorado then traveling south to Albuquerque, NM for the Hot Air Balloon Fiesta which starts on October 1st.
