| We left McKinley Princess lodge around 8:30 this morning heading for the Kenai Peninsula…about an 8 hour drive. We made several stops along the way, one at the Iditerod Race Headquarters in Wasilla, another one in Anchorage for lunch. Another stop was for a look at the Portage Glacier. We pulled into the Kenai Princess Lodge about 5:00. It is absolutely beautiful here. We all have individual cabins with fire places and everyone is really liking this place! Tomorrow is a entire day on our own. Several of us have booked a tour to the Kenai Fjord National Park and others are just planning on relaxing, taking a hike, and enjoying the beautiful scenery. |
