| Well we left Florida this morning for Heritage Motor Coach Resort and Marina in Orange Beach Alabama and arrived here at 12:30 PM - very nice place with a marina attached so a lot of the folks here own the lots and have a boat for recreation as well. Must have seen 6 Smart cars in and around here. We just got settled in they had a tropical storm here 3 days ago its all clear now ditches are full of water otherwise its OK New Orleans is 50 mile west of us and they got a good dump of rain. Took a ride down to the state park and beach, the state park has some very nice campgrounds all with services and big spaces between - plus signs to not agitate the alligator's? Beautiful beach with very fine sand will have to take a walk down to the pier in the next few days the weather is going to be very comfortable. Anne's cousin Carol came to visit today she lives 60 minutes away in Fairhope AL last time we saw here was in Glasgow Scotland about 3 years ago. Went to Doc's Seafood for lunch - great place, Anne had Shrimp Salad and Carol and I had Catfish food was excellent. |
