another view of the DIRTY truck

Got up to another rainy day but not as much rain as yesterday. Headed out to Fish River to see the bears which chose not to show up. We then headed out to Salmon Glacier, 26 miles of muddy narrow roads with 6 of us in our truck. We saw a bald eagle and golden eagle on our way out and lots of salmon in the creek. Salmon glacier was difficult to see because of the fog but it would clear for minutes at a time so we did get to see it. We were headed to the end of the glacier when we saw a car stopped, and for a good reason. There was a very large grizzly bear right by the road. We were able to see if for several minutes and he was not one bit interested in us. I took a video but haven't been able to load it for you to see. As everyone knows who is reading this the picture of Jim's truck is difficult to believe. Mud was an inch thick in some places but he immediately took it to a car wash to clean it, well almost clean it. We had lunch at the blue bus in Hyder. It was great, fresh shrimp, fries and Alaskan Ale. Well, some of us had ale. We headed back to our RVs and prepared to leave the next day.
