The Unknown Destination Trip 2011 travel blog

Hi,

Here we are on our last night.

Yesterday we walked into Castlemaine and walked and walked and walked until we were pooped.

Today we went to Jayco in Bendigo to see why we have difficulty filling the water tanks. Were given a very easy solution - what a shame that Kings did not know (or maybe did not want to give us) this handy hint. Took less than 15 minutes to fill the tanks - a lot quicker than the 1.5 - 2 hours we have been taking!!

We also looked around the Jayco shop and were amazed at what you can buy - mainly for repairs. We picked up some bits and pieces.

Then back to Castlemaine for lunch and pick up some last minute supplies. The rest of the afternoon getting ready for tomorrow.

The caravan has been jacked back up as the front was resting on the ground, the outside is clean, the awning is away, the table and chairs are away and the washing line is away. I have finished cleaning the inside.

We have been very lazy the last two mornings and not been out of bed before 8 (Barry) and 9 (me!), but I think tomorrow we will be up with the larks :)

We are planning to spend the day at Daylesford. The farmers market is on so will stock up with supplies like yummy sour dough bread and cheeses for our dinner - beats ferry food. The plan is it leave about 4 - if we can wait that long- before heading to the ferry terminal.

The weather (read wind) has been checked and me may be in for a lumpy crossing - so ginger tablets are in my bag ready!

Better go and pack our overnight bag now.

Over and out from a very excited

M and B xx
