We elected to pack up early today as we wanted to make the 11:15 am ferry from Wood Island PEI. Fred rode with us and after a quick coffee at Tim’s in Cornwall we rode hard to the ferry at a pace of over 25 k per h. We made the ferry in time to buy a coffee and then boarded and had time for a light lunch before the ferry headed for the Nova Scotia coast. Nice trip on a lovely day across the Northumberland Straits.
After the crossing we had a about 54 k to ride and did it with one stop in New Glasgow for some water then on to the camp site to prepare for a ride in wind and rain for the next two days as the hurricane approaches. Lovely evening as I scribe this but the forecast is a bummer.
