After the rains of last night the morning came nicely and made for good riding. Terri had her last duty for cooking so we left camp a bit late for the 16 k ride to the Confederation Bridge. As they don’t let you walk or cycle this bridge we had to wait a bit for the shuttle to take us and the bikes on to the Island. Once there we stopped for some of the famous “Cows” ice cream before riding to Victoria By The Sea for a light lunch at a great little café. Then it was on to Cornwall, just outside Charlottetown to the campsite. As we took a short route we were among the first to arrive which meant we unloaded the truck before setting up camp.

Allan Cameron dropped in to see us. I met Allan on a bike mechanic course in Guelph over the winter. It was good to see him and talk about the tour as he plans on riding it next year. We did attempt to ensure that his expectations are realistic.

Good day and tomorrow we head for Nova Scotia and province number 9. We leave PEI by the Wood Island Ferry to Pictou Nova Scotia and Province number 9. Hopefully Hurricane Irene will not be too bad to deal with over the next few days!
