Today we drove about 50 miles from Reno to visit Lake Tahoe. We visited both the Nevada side and the California side of the lake. The lake was absolutely packed, cars were parked all along the main beaches and walking trails etc.
The lake is absolutely beautiful. We visited the Tahoe area about 20 years ago and had forgotten how beautiful it is.
We stopped at one of the smaller hotels and had a wonderful lunch before driving back to Reno. We saw a lot of bear warning, but didn't see any bears or any wildlife.
The huge Ponderosa Pines were outstanding. It was nice to see green grass and trees. It was also cooler, we got up to 8,000 feet in elevation.
I will let the photos tell the rest of the story. More later from Nevada.
