A few more pictures from our hike at Webster Lake and Benjamin...

A few relics from the CCC camp

Another day on the road and another Wal-Mart. This has gotten to be a habit.

We had an uneventful day for our drive across the tip of Wisconsin. Has some pretty nice views of Lake Superior as we drove through Ashland, Wisconsin. We stopped at their Wal-Mart for lunch. It’s a good thing we weren’t planning to spend the night there. “No Overnight Parking” signs were posted on every lamppost.

The traffic was very light and the road was generally in very good condition so we zipped right along. Even so, it was late afternoon before we got to Iron Mountain. We got a late start because we were trying to get ourselves organized for the upcoming holiday weekend. Generally, we have this all taken care of well in advance, but this time we were so unsure as to which route we would take and when we would be anywhere that we let time slip up on us. We called several campgrounds this morning before we were able to get a plan worked out for the weekend.

Anyway, that’s about all I have to say for today. Not much to report. Thanks for tagging along.
