Great wind and rain all day. Left Cornwall around 900am Sunday 28th August 2011 heading south towards Plattsburgh to take Richard & Katie back home. Richards car died last night - oil light on. Rain started just after leaving The Bears Den (added $100 fuel) and continued all day. The winds came with the rain, out of the north-east anywhere from 15-25mph, gusting to over 35mph. Most of the day very heavy rain and strong winds. Mid afternoon drove Ron to Dorval. No backup at the border, 15-20 minutes at the Mercer Bridge and about 5 minutes at the entrance to Dorval airport, all because of construction lane restrictions. Departed the airport via Cardinal Ave to Sources then #20 & #401 home to Cornwall. Still raining, temp at 15C. Good to be home out of the rain and the NE winds.
