2011 von Ohsen Vacation - Coolin' it travel blog

Largest Wooden Church in the World

We hated to leave our perfect campsite on Shelburne Bay, but something was causing our allergies to flare up. We both left w/sinus headaches, my eyes almost swollen shut.

We drove the Evangeline Trail to Digby, NS. This is one of my Mother’s favorite things she saw here in Nova Scotia. I now understand why - mile after mile of beautiful farmland that rolls straight to the ocean. There were many beautiful churches along the way also. We got a picture of the tallest wooden church in the world.

We drove to Prim Point Lighthouse in Digby but the fog was so dense we almost didn’t see it when we were right on top of it! The foghorn gave it away.

We enjoyed 2 suppers of world famous Digby Scallops – yummy!
