breakfast is too much
| Just when I thought it couldn’t get any better I had the most amazing experience last night - we were told that it hadn’t rained here for over two months and last night the clouds rolled in and produced some of the best lightening I’ve ever seen – combine that with a 13th Century Abbey complete with ruins and me standing alone in the rain at midnight and in the dark except for when the lightning flashed just behind the imposing tower and you have a scene straight out of Dracula!! Definitely an experience to rival the Vivaldi concert in the church in Venice. Lazy day today - sleep in, long breakfast, pool, tennis and reading - every holiday should have one 'lazy day' a week, even if it's just to give the legs a rest! |
